This page explains what cookies are, which ones the Tickwise website uses, and how you can control them. We have tried to write this in plain language. If you have a question that this page does not answer, write to us at [email protected].
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — for example, whether you have already seen the cookie notice — so the page can behave appropriately the next time you return.
Cookies do not contain your name or payment details. They typically hold a short identifier that links your browser to a record stored on the website's server or in your browser's own storage.
Cookie Types We Use
Essential Cookies (Always active)
These are necessary for the site to function. Without them, parts of the site would not work. They include the record of your cookie consent choice. You cannot turn these off.
Duration: Session or up to 12 months
Analytics Cookies (Optional)
These help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed most often and where people arrive from. This information is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities. We may use Google Analytics for this purpose.
Duration: Up to 2 years
Marketing Cookies (Optional)
These allow advertising networks to show you relevant content on other websites after a visit. We currently make limited use of marketing cookies, but the option exists for future campaigns.
Duration: Up to 90 days
Preference Cookies (Optional)
These remember choices you have made — such as your language or region setting — so the site can behave consistently across visits.
Duration: Up to 12 months
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages or that we use for analytics. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies:
- Google Analytics — collects anonymised visitor data to help us understand site usage. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Maps — used on our homepage to show the workshop location. Google may place cookies when the map loads.
We do not embed social media widgets or advertising trackers by default.

Your Rights
You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by using the preference controls on this page. Changing your preferences here updates the same record used by the main Tickwise website, so your choices carry across.
